CS: Carlos Solis | ER: Emily Rios
CS: Where are you from?
ER: I was born in West Covina, CA
CS: How old are you then?
ER: 17
CS: Any brothers and sisters?
ER: 1 brother, 2 sisters
CS: All older. Right?
ER: How did you guess?
CS: Just an instinct....
CS: So are you like the spoiled kid?
ER: No. I just like to have fun
CS: Do you have really strict parents?
ER: No, my dad works for a construction company and mom with the mentally disabled, so I've
learned to appreciate life for what it is.
CS: But, who are you closer to?
ER: Definetely my mom

CS: How did you land the role?
ER: I was hanging out at a mall in West Covina when a casting agent approached me to audition.
CS: I take it this was your first experience acting?
ER: In the movies-yes.
CS: What is your schedule like these days?
ER: Lots of photo shoots, interviews, and school!
CS: So if I say..'The Beach' or school?
ER: School.
CS: If I say the beach or the mountains?
ER: The beach!
CS: Is school your priority in life?
ER: Pretty much . . . .
CS: If I offered you A DREAM JOB with huge pay right now?
ER: I would decline it and just go to school.
CS: Ok-Pepsi or Coke?
ER: Pepsi
CS: Purple or Pink?
ER: Pink
CS: Isn't that so stereotype?
ER: No, I really like PINK the singer.
I would die if I had an opportunity to meet her
CS: Why?
ER: She's SO out there, strong and bold, I think we women could learn to be a little more tough like her
CS: Are you looking forward to meeting any celebrities?
ER: Hayden Cristensen-especially! [Giggles...]
CS: Do you consider yourself a celebrity?
ER: No, not yet..... [laughs...]
CS: Any Sports?
ER: Basketball !!!
CS: Have a boyfriend?
ER: No, just good friends

CS: Was the "making of the movie" fun?
ER: Yes. We really enjoyed learning the process.
CS: You guys shot this movie in record time?
ER: Yes, casting started March 5th, last shoot day was April 18th.
CS: Any favorite scenes?
ER: The ones with family interaction, which there are tons-I felt the emotions, the passion-we
had to get the message across.
CS: Is acting hard?
ER: No, but you have to get into character
CS: Any professional training for the role?
ER: No, I am a natural ..... I guess [laughs!]
CS: How about the flight to Park City, Utah for Sundance?
ER: It was thrilling-my first time ever on an airplane, being there meeting so many people in the industry
CS: What were the reviews like?
ER: Great! We were surprised to get the awards, but again,
it is a very realistic film and we enjoyed ourselves so much doing it

CS: What do you enjoy most about the U.S. Latino Community?
ER: How we keep our traditions, culture and values alive?
CS: How about that Champurrado?
ER: Delicious!
CS: Your favorite movie is?
ER: Life is Beautiful [La Bella Vita]
CS: Congratulations, I commend you on a job well done, being an actor myself,
I know how much work goes into script reading, memorizing, and playing out
like you said, getting into character. Plus getting your break at such early age is not that bad either!

CS: What would you say to the youth of today?
ER: Not to get discouraged, to keep working hard and to believe in their dreams
CS: Good luck in your career and keep us posted!
ER: Will do!
